I recall contacting portalplayer regarding their relationship with EDIG when portalplayer was an unknown and being told they were working on some very exciting stuff coming down...and to stay tuned. I think I shared that email with the boards(RB at that time, maybe AOL too).

While it`s a bit fuzzy, I believe I would have only known about portalplayer after EDIG announced a relationship with them and this was all pre-ipod...I think...but could be mistaken.
