No. Insurance is optional, and costs money. They may be like most companies and depending on past good will, future business opportunities (for Maycom), and contract law.

So IMO insurance may or may not come into play.

And, to be ``contrary``, why would EDIG still be making efforts to ``compel`` Maycom if they had insurance? They could have engaged another supplier on the insurance nickel, and let the insurance company go after Maycom for payback, penalties and damages.

On the ``other side``, if EDIG had no insurance and independently went after Maycom legally, they could make the claim that Maycom`s inaction caused EDIG to lose their one and only ongoing customer (digEcor), suffering great damage due to no further orders from digEcor (which where unlikely anyway). Profit scenario? LOL
