KMB1 just pointed to one of your ``issues``, and based on her experience on AA, everything went pretty smoothly for the FAs handling the digEs. And, when she talked to the FAs, she didn`t hear any complaints out of them. Perhaps she can give us a little more insight re: needs for technical assistance. From my talking with her, seems the digE is very easy to use/navigate, so I don`t see the big deal about ``technical assistance``. Though I know some folks have trouble with on/off switches (and my bro-in-law, a technical support manager at CSC, says a significant number of trouble calls are due to people not checking to assure their PC is plugged in), seems the digEs are set up to be pretty intuitive. So is this your take or something actually said by RP?
As for ``Trust me guys not one thing is in writing when it comes to these digiplayers``, what are you talking about? Written FA procedures for what they are supposed to do? You follow that with ``All these monies coming in right now are for testing the logistics to the digiplayers in accordance with flight parameters``, but then jump back to talking about the perils of the FAs. Are you talking monies to the airlines, or monies to Wencor/APS (and ultimately EDIG)? So I`m a bit confused.... As for written procedures to FAs, I have a difficult time believing FAs weren`t issued written instructions when there is some criticality to when/how they are handled, and recognizing they are bargaining unit- (union) represented employees. And how would you or RP know? If you`re talking about contracts/purchase orders, certainly they are in place; no airline or other entity in the chain will operate/deliver without contractual terms in writing. Handshakes don`t cut it, ever, when there is significant money involved.
As for RyanAir, his response was what one would expect. As I`ve speculated before, I suspect RA is awaiting the installed version based on O`Leary`s past concerns regarding theft. With his enthusiasum over the digE, and this being his one concern, I think my conclusion makes sense.
As for FLRC and the recent PPS/trading action, he offered his opinion, you offer your`s. Either way, it seems the action is ultimately good for shareholders.
So, even with my confusion, I`ll try to some up what I think, based on your post, you actually heard from RP:
1) His responses were not as glowing as you had hoped.
2) DigEs are a new animal, and some processes need to be ironed out by the airlines and perhaps Wencor/APS (and not EDIG).
3) No insider info re: RyanAir.
4) He thinks FLCR has to do with short covering (which means that when seller inventory dries up, PPS will rise).
You asked for responses, so there`s mine. Please be so kind as to clarify as appropriate.
TIA,
SGE
