Didn't the whole carb testing extravaganza start about Christmas time?

HOW ON EARTH....is a person to believe it takes this long to test that thing? Especially in light of the fact that it has been tested, and tested, and tested to death a million times. I suppose if they ever get past carb, they'll take it somewhere esle to test.
