Re: Let's test the Jetstar forever.....

I swear some people would like to do that. This thing has already seen more testing than half of the food and medication we're all eating.

Not only model years are a factor, but so is the accumulated milage on the test trucks, the internal condition of the engines, the driver, the fuel winter/vs summer, and MOST importantly.....at least to the trucking industry, is the manufacturer of the engine. I don't understand why everybody is making such a big to do over the test results. Why pick it apart with a microscope? If we were to test every last variable, it would cost millions of dollars and take years. Emmistar is in the business.....this is what they do. They have extremely high standards and protocols. The results are valid under the conditions that were set. If somebody wants to pony up another 50 grand to test a different model year.....go for it!

The EPA and CARB testing will undoubtedly have their own unique criteria, and that's fine. We'll pass that one with flying colours as well. And then the naysayers will have their day picking apart the results like a pack of hyenas on a carcas. It makes me laugh. Do these same guys question the results of their clean drive emission test at the corner garage? Done in 10 minutes, by a pimply faced kid fresh out of high school, who received a 3 minute lesson on how to run the machine. How SCREWED up do you think those results are? And everybody forks over their money like good little plebes because the garage or the Government wouldn't lie or rip us off now would they.

Accredited 3rd party validation by accredited testing facilities are as Good as Gold. They are forced to meet industry standards or they wouldn't get the accrediation in the first place.

HOW do you think we got to California? Anybody ever think about that one? We've been knocking on that door for years. It's because they (the California dudes) weren't going to take this thing seriously until they saw some iron clad results from a bonified testing facility. They got em! And the door swung open!

I suppose when there's 400,000 Jetstars rolling around the Country and the sp is $18, there will still be guys saying.....ya.....but will it work If a truck was travelling across a bridge, during a Lunar eclipse, on a Wednesday night and the driver was eating a hamburger. Give me a call and let me know how that one works out, I'll be on my yaught in the Bahamas.
