In the past I've seen similar patterns, I'm sure you have too. There's a big price spike with an increase in volume, not a huge increase in volume but enough to cause a blip. Then shareholders who've "given up" on the stock see the blip, can't see any reason for it and start to bail, so the ask fills. Buyers pick up relatively cheap shares, then the price rockets. NOT was one I think, maybe BMK too. Sure, they were both based on Mc Faulds Lake, when the 'ring of fire' was smokin', but it's still a pattern.
