Just reading between the lines in the first paragraph of your post. If the TNBC trial was paused/suspended/stopped according to DM, that would have been Pfizer's decision since they are paying for the trial. 
"we decided to pause - we would rather pursue low-hangin fruit in non competitive markets" infers that Pfizer and Zenith collectively made the decision.
