Lack of communications leads to speculation without a basis in facts. 

From the very little information I've red about epigenetics and treating various types of cancers I get the following impressions;

• There is a significant interest among scientists in the academic and pharma industries about developing epigenetic approaches to cancer treatment.
• This interest started many years ago.
• From what I gather there are no successes to date.
• From a couple of abstracts I read it appears that some cancers can adapt quickly (how quickly? because if it adds 4 months to a life then that has value) to the epigenetic alterations.
• The epigenetic compounds for cancer tend to be pan bet inhibitors and these compounds (unlike apabetalone for CVD, CKD, low HDL which is very specifically targetted and yields multi modal positive effects) impact multiple pathways and tend to have safety issues (perhaps not focused enough).

There are hundreds of cancers so I'm willing to bet there are many epigenetic opportunities in specific cancers. One breakthrough could lead to an understanding of an MOA that then builds a bigger understanding.

Cancer cells are our own cells misbehaving and multiplying without control. Perhaps there will be epigenetic (software - programming of genes) solutions once the disfunctional genes are understood???

So, my feeling is that the cancer issues are extremely complex (obviously) and it will be a very long journey for each of the scientific teams around the world.

Now my question re Zenith is why have they not given us any news?

• I would like to believe it is because the trial is showing promising results.
• However, my feeling is that they are learning but have not hit the mark yet. Perhaps there will be a hint of progress but if there was a breakthrough we'd hear about it.

Just my "in the dark" opinion.
