Seig - You are absoulutely right.  University research is about keeping the research going.  While important they are in no hurry and are always looking to extend projects.  Companies doing research/testing want to get the product into production as soon as possible as they want to make money or stay competitive or bring out new products.

The NR was a non event.  Almost better is they did not realease this news at least for the stock price.
