Message: Can we please have an opinion on this post from Agoracom

Normally, I would have let this post slide as just being noise. But in it, you called Swisscross a liar, and that is unjustified and uncalled for.

The actual post you quoted does not, as you pointedf out to Agoracom, say the $500,000 was for mining. However, you are fully aware of the thread that lead up to that post. This is the post prior to that one:

Its really, really Marbelous!!

Below is a press release from our Federal Government's Sudbury MP Paul Lefebvre. Fluffy must apologize. In a previous post Fluffy suggested that the Federal Government was investing only $200K in the region of Hearst. The actual amount is in excess of $500K. Please note the words and terms "mining, mine readiness strategy" used in the news release. Time to buy Zenyatta shares.

Government of Canada Investment Supports Economic Growth and Job Creation in the Hearst Region

July 11, 2016 – Hearst, ON – Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario – FedNor

Paul Lefebvre, Member of Parliament for Sudbury, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced a FedNor investment of $537,285 in support of four projects in the Hearst region (see attached Information Sheet).

Provided through FedNor's Northern Ontario Development Program and the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program, this funding will support a variety of projects in the areas of mining, infrastructure, youth, business development and community economic growth. Organizations that will benefit from this announcement include: The Townships of Opasatika and Val Rita-Harty; Hearst and Area Economic Development Corporation, Constance Lake First Nation, and the Municipality of Mattice-Val Côté.

Quotes"The Government of Canada understands that investing in community priority projects delivers results for residents and businesses alike. Today's announcement in support of a mine readiness strategy, tourism, youth and community infrastructure is helping build the foundation for a more diversified regional economy."

– The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor"I am proud of the Government of Canada's investment in these key community initiatives that are focused on enhancing business development and growth. By helping communities such as Hearst, Opasatika and Mattice-Val Côté to capitalize on economic opportunities, we are building a brighter future for all of Northern Ontario."

– Paul Lefebvre, Member of Parliament for Sudbury"On behalf of all the organizations that have received funding today, I would like to thank the Government of Canada for helping us pave the way for job creation, sustainable economic growth and long-term prosperity. Today’s announcement is helping to promote tourism, diversification and business growth throughout the region."

– Roger Sigouin, Mayor of the Town of Hearst

You will, of course, notice that Fluffy the cat not only mentioned mining, he actually emphasized the presence of the words "mining, mine readiness strategy". Sure sounds like Swisscross had it right.

Further, you might observe that the news release itself outlines several uses for the funds, as bolded above. Mining is mentioned, but it is not the sole beneficiary. In fact, only $97,000 is earmarked for aiding Hearst and the CLFN in their mine readiness preparations.

You gave Agoracom one post. In isolation, what you said about it was true. In context with the discussion, it wasn't, and I think you knew that. You intervened to keep a poster of like mind to you from facing a potential ban. You are a hub leader. Not that I want your intervention, but I think it would have been justified when JakeWilson was taking shots at me, shots that he apparently deserved to be banned for. You were very quiet when the target was someone not as ZEN-friendly as Fluffy the cat.
