On paper they most certainly do but then there are some interesting ways of getting around them too aren't there. But perhaps you're right and the whole system works perfectly and everything is above board. That would explain why 2008 never happened and credit default swaps and triple AAA investments loaded with garbage were just fiction. And my favourite is the totally legal shorting where shares purchased by an investor can be "borrowed" from another investor (or his broker) and sold off bringing about the subsequent drop in an sp whereby the seller could buy back cheaper, making a profit on the differential as they return the shares they borrowed. Now that really is something that supports the economy and the development of a company eh? C'mon hoov, ya gotta know that the game is about those that can take money from those that don't know how to play the game. After all....it's just business eh? The system is whacked and that's why the whole damned world economy is fkd. Pure greed and no watch dogs. I seem to remember a news cast citing the investigation into the activities of SEC employees at their desks......watching porn on their desktops. Nice to know they're hard at work.

But you're right about my opinions...they're outrageous. But I don't think half as outrageous as what is actually going on out there. As it stands right now Hoov, I am aware of some things that would blow the minds of people it affects. If you knew what I know, you'd understand why I have the opinions that I do.
