You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
and it looks like the sp is being propped by those who have until recently been smashing it, so that others can sell and sneak out the door under cover. With markets doing what they are doing it's pretty scary and I wouldn't be surprised if some would like to get out until the water is safe again....but without attracting too much attention and affect on the sp.
