I don't mean to be argumentitive, but the comment by Hykawy seem to me to be complete horse malarky. If you run a chemical reation and use high heat to get your products as presumably one did with the graphite precursers then you cool everything off and reheat it to high heat all bets are off it could be very distruction to your new compound. So this comment has no basis in facts as I am sure any chemist will tell you.
