Besides the guy in the lab likely gets a coded sample and only the Sr. Mgmt know what it is he, just provides results. It is usual when dealing with confidential tests or samples that this is done within each company on a need to know basis, so most people don't need to know and those that do, also know that they could get in trouble trading shares based on what they know.
