From what I see of HudBay's financials, I don't think they can afford Zen, especially at some of the higher valuations many of us are looking for.
I agree, they are not big enough. But they could JV with a large end user or another miner.
The article is a good example of what all the miners are currently facing - tight balance sheets due to low commodity prices. And in Teck's case, a large capital committment in the oil sands. If they could only somehow find a low capex, large cash flow project in their own backyard....
