In the absense of news and volume it doesn't take much for a group to systematically beat down a stock. Scare the retail buyers to the sideline or better yet scare them into bailing out with a never ending stream of 'facts' (satire implied) then walk the price down day after day. When the stock finally bottoms out and hits the scoop point in their poop and scoop strategy they load back up and start the pump phase of their pump and dump. Seems to be the 'trading' philosophy that pervades certain boards to make a few bucks. Me I'm still buying (TD) but I admit that its hard on the nerves and would be happy to see a NR that would turn us around. I suspect the vast majority of retailers are on the sideline waiting to see what happens or the volumes would be much higher.
