I agree, that is what happens when we have limited information to sort through. Another thing about the DF story is once they 'knew what they had' they also knew they would all be wealthy, it was kept in the boardroom of course and it simply became a question of 'how wealthy and how quickly'. The main insiders all agreed NOT to sell any shares even at $10+ which for them was not an easy thing to do. Again, they knew that insider sales would reduce their leverage.
In my re-read I am just at the point where they picked up the strategic partner..
I was never a shareholder but I do recall that the story at the time sure was fascinating. I actually fell for a few of the area plays - Anvil and Fleck...lost on both..LOL
