GMP refer to 99.9% but as we know it's the 99.95% + grades that command the big bucks and Zenyatta surpass those grades by simple and low cost processes as stated in earlier news releases, The initial bench-scale tests demonstrated that the caustic baking process could produce ultra-high purity graphite product with 99.97% carbon. The process was successfully applied to a variety of graphite concentrate samples that had initial carbon grades between 46% and 90% using conventional flotation techniques. Different particle sizes were also tested. In all trials, the final purity values were over 99.97% carbon and up to 99.99% carbon in many cases, regardless of initial concentrate grades. The graphite purification process is effective across a wide range of initial concentrate grades and particle sizes, producing ultra-high purity graphite with good recoveries (Zenyatta News Release of April 25, 2013).
