Hydrothermal Graphite Deposit Ammenable for Commercial Graphene Applications
Almost a year from the hire of Dr. Chahar and this quote...
Dr. Bharat Chahar stated “Having carefully reviewed the Albany graphite data available, I am convinced that Zenyatta has a resource with excellent potential for high value carbon applications. It is a special natural graphite deposit unlike any other that I’ve seen in the industry. I am thrilled and excited to be part of a top-notch ZEN team to help bring this unique graphite product to the market. In my experience, if you offer a better product with an obvious advantage, the world will beat a path to your door.”
Nothing is ever a smooth ride, but the lack of news or perceived progress in the public arena is disappointing. The "world will beat a path to your door" quote could be perceived as the numerous NDAs/sample distribution, inclusion in ORNL study, and/or NRC grant/support.
This doesn't change what is in the ground, but as far as SP is concerned, any NR (positive or negative) will create huge volatility. Be prepared, as the next NR will have a significant impact.
BTW - There has been a lot of innovation in the EV battery market, although not yet commercialized, does make it ever more difficult end-users/etc... to "pull the trigger" and buy a multi-decade deposit. Although, i think ZENs graphite would do well in industry requiring synthetic or high-purity graphite.
