Summary: Panasonic plans to initially invest billions of yen in the factory, which will produce lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles."

Note: 1USD = ~100 yens. So, 1B yens =~$10M (2B y =$20M, etc...). It's not a huge amount, but it's a good start.
