We know that graphene can do wonderful things, and I have no qualm about this.
But this fellow sounds like a used car salesman, it's over the top. He could back off a bit to lend the story more credibility.
At the start it would be safer for him to compare the strength of graphene with that of steel (or some other metal) rather than with diamond (our conventional diamond).
Diamond was known to be one of the hardest material in the universe, but in terms of strength I am not sure (since one wrong hit while cutting a diamond could break the stone in many pieces), unless we are talking about a recent discovery called diamond nanothreads which, theoretically, also has super-strength (stronger than Spiderman strands of web fluid? lol). But apparently there has not been any comparison between graphene and diamond nanothread for strength.
