Hydrothermal Graphite Deposit Ammenable for Commercial Graphene Applications
If no buy-out or offtake is received by ZEN, i really hope AE has a "plan b". So far, the new BoD members shows Zenyatta's commitment to progressing this towards a mine, which i think is great!
Some posters here mentioned Teck Resources and it's investment into Diamond Field Resources. If AE is "rolling up the sleeves" and going about bringing this to a mine, ZEN is going to need cash for the PFS. With the hire of Ken Stowe, I believe AE is already trying to figure out how they are going to fund the PFS.
They could dilute to brokers who then sell shares to institution or retail, but I would like them to take on a strategic partner who can provide mining expertise and raise the eyebrows of a major. Another bonus is by-passing the brokers. This was the strategy that DFR took with Voisey Bay and it seemed to have worked out...
Teck Resource NR from 1995 below...
VANCOUVER, BC--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 1995--TECK CORP.(TSE, ME, VSE: TEK.A, TEK.B VSE: TEK) TECK CORPORATION and DIAMOND FIELDS RESOURCES INC. today announced an agreement under which Teck will purchase 3 million treasury shares of Diamond Fields for $108 million ($36.00 per share), the consideration being $84,375,000 in cash and one million Class B common shares of Teck. The purchase will give Teck a fully diluted 10.4 percent investment position in Diamond Fields.
Teck has also agreed to make its engineering and mine development team available at no cost to Diamond Fields through the conceptual design and pre-feasibility study stages of Diamond Fields' Voisey Bay nickel copper project.
Teck president N.B. Keevil said that the Voisey Bay discovery may be the most important base metal discovery in Canada in 30 years, and that the company is excited about becoming involved with it through this investment.
Teck and Diamond Fields said that the next phase of work on this project will include continued drilling to further define the known mineralized areas as well as to test a number of geophysical targets which have been indicated by recent airborne electromagnetic surveys. In addition, engineering work will get underway on conceptual plant design.
The agreement is subject to stock exchange approval.
