Perhaps you are in a fortunate situation with ready cash to increase your holdings...good for you. On the other hands, others may not be as fortunate to have the cash to buy more (and they have bought at a higher price). Some investors have indicated that have lost (on paper) thousands of hard-earned dollars. If they are forced to sell (e.g. margin calls, or in need for money because of medical or household emergencies) then the losses would be real.
