Hydrothermal Graphite Deposit Ammenable for Commercial Graphene Applications
LT
- I would certainly take a 1 Tesla for 1 ZEN anytime...As an example, with 100k shares of ZEN on can retire with $25M, not too shabby. Just enough for moving to the Cayman Islands, LOL!
- But, 1 TSLA for 10 ZEN would be worth considering. Tthe math says 250/10 =$ 25/ZEN share, for $2.5M, perhaps just enough to move to Niagara on the Lake and start a vinyard there. A 1/10 conversion would result in insignificant dilution of TSLA.
- How much spherical graphite would be required? Simon (Moores) says, link below:
30,000 -43,000 tonnes/yr of spherical (or potato) graphite would be required. Simon says 6-9 new mines would be needed, depending on the scenario assumed (conservative or bullist with giga plant running at full capacity). There is a discussion on flake size, conversion loss, coating, and the current China situation (with a loss of 70% to produced spherical graphite uncoated, and coated product is done in Japan).
It would be great to have TSLA as an off-take partner (they may even provide the financing, their Mkt Cap is ~$30B). Tucson, AZ, wanted TSLA Gigafactory bad. It just put in a formal proposal to TSLA...could be something like ..."unlike California, we are friendlier, and we want you...you are more than welcome to build that giga-thing here".
Another thing, that factory could be be built in a "solar energy park" so that solar energy can be used to power the Li-ion gigafactory and the surrounding communities. Of course, one would need to build gigastorage facilities which also require graphite, lots of graphite, as well to store all that dry heat from Arizona for power consumption at night. After sundown the folks in Arizona still need to run the AC all night, for most of the year, for a goodnight sleep...and to charge up their e-cars.
TSLA is on something here, and us (high quality) graphite producers can fly along. It would appear that this thing feeds on itself.
