Canaccord's Morning Coffee:

Zenyatta Ventures* (ZEN : TSX-V : $4.95), Net Change: 0.20, % Change: 4.21%, Volume: 680,477
Unique: a TSX Venture stock significantly in the green YTD. While the junior resource space has more or less been left for dead over the past couple months, shares of junior graphite explorer Zenyatta have significantly bucked the trend and soaring in 2013. ZEN is developing a rare hydrothermal or 'vein-type' graphite deposit it discovered in 2011 in northeastern Ontario. It is the largest and only known graphite deposit of this type under development in the world. Management highlights that vein-type graphite has enjoyed great demand due to its unusually high purity and unique physical properties. In many industrial applications graphite veins offer superior performance due to higher thermal and electrical conductivity. Following (positive) beneficiation tests, ZEN management highlighted that the ability to produce a natural graphite product, equivalent in purity to the highest grade synthetic graphite, using low-cost conventional processing techniques will allow ZEN to target the growing market in high value-added graphite applications
