The S&P Dow Jones indices' Canadian index operations have made index changes as a result of the quarterly S&P/TSX Preferred Share Index and S&P/TSX Venture Select Index reviews. These changes will be effective at the open on Monday, April 22, 2013.

Company additions to and deletions from an S&P equity index do not in any way reflect an opinion on the investment merits of the company.

The good news here besides being recognized as one of the best stocks on the venture is that index funds that follow the TSXv will now have to buy ZEN. This push should happen over the next 10 days before the 22nd of April when it becomes official. Here is one such fund:

The iShares S&P/TSX Venture Index Fund seeks to provide long-term capital growth by replicating, to the extent possible, the performance of the S&P/TSX Venture Select Index, net of expenses. The investment strategy of the iShares S&P/TSX Venture Index Fund is to invest primarily in a portfolio of Index Securities which make up the S&P/TSX Venture Select Index, selected by BlackRock Canada from time to time, that closely matches the characteristics of the S&P/TSX Venture Select Index.

The fund manager will be required to add Zenyatta to the ETF portfolio. The reason for the effective date of April 22, 2013 is to provide investors the time to accumulate before the ETF is required to buy.

Should provide a small pop to the SP Monday as well as on the 22nd IMO.

Hold on to your shares, I am still calling this the next Aurelian! It will take longer because people do not get graphite and the market in general sucks but this stock will turn heads, even in these crappy conditions!
