Engineering, procurement, construction & management of crude oil refineries.
I understand your position, and of course, it is only my opinion.
I have held Winfield since about July last year - I bought in at $0.48 after doing some due diligence. Without having looked too in-depth into the capabilities of senior management, I assessed the potential revenue opportunities that the company had. Of course, this was entirely based on the news releases, which had represented, either intentionally or unintentionally, that the opportunities were much further along the pipe-line that they actually were. The CNR proved this quite objectively.
Don't kid yourself - the company has no revenue, and is not worth anything if you value the company from an operational standpoint. It's current market cap is entirely based on the PROBABILITY of actually proceeding with these opportunities... which is why it is VITAL to fully understand how the pipeline works, and how far along the company is.
I disagree with you in regards to how far along the Mauritania opportunity is - there is a LICENSE to conduct those types of activities. This means very little compared to the overall process to actually getting a signed deal and having revenues come in. I would love to hear insight into the process if anyone has this information.
They have a LICENSE - from there, they need conditional supporting documents including a feasability study, oil procurement, financing... it's still a long ways away - and I can't imagine how, at some point, another player or four, will start getting involved... what differentiates WWF from any other firm for this oil refinery deal?
