Emotion and Demotion
These two terms, recapitulate today’s highlights for the Winfield stock and the sentiment on this Hub. IMO
Let’s begin with the “demotion”.
A demotion in the corporate world, in which we all live in, is a transfer from one tier to another within the same corporation. This is what has happened with WWF today. We were moved from the TSX.V to TSX.H.
When someone is transferred from one tier to another, has THAT individual changed? NO.
When WWF was transferred from TSX.V to TSX.H has anything changed with WWF?
NO.
With a demotion, or I’d rather call it a transfer from one tier to another, be it in the corporate world or the stock trading world, we still are who we are. As the individual was transferred, they continue to work within that same corporation, only in a different department. As WWF was transferred, they continue to work within the TSX, only in a different division.
Now the term “emotion”.
Since August 7, 2007, emotions have been flying high. Some speculated that the stock will NEVER trade, and then you have the other end of the spectrum, we will trade at $ 25 at open.
Now that the CNR has been released (published), stockholders are wondering, now what? We have the CNR, and WWF is still WWF, the same company, an introduction of new personnel, but the IDEA behind WWF hasn’t changed. Mr. Foley, has been busy creating contacts at this point, and merely shared with the shareholders the latest developments. Emotional rollercoaster? I’m sure you, and I have to admit I did too, hope to hear about contracts, inked deals, etc. At this point, we know for sure that we have made contacts, and Foley is working to finalize a deal or two or ???
To conclude, let’s not allow for the ‘demotion’ control our ‘emotion’. This is IMO a bump in the road. Some will probably sell at open, while others will be buying. If you believe in Foley and the deals that he MAY finalize, then by all means, stay, if you don’t then you can sell. As for myself, I’m staying, because I believe that Foley can and WILL finalize what he had set out to do from the get go.
