Libyan high council for oil and gas affairs headed by GPC secretary approved sharing contracts with specialized international companies in development of petrochemical factories and laboratories in Marsa Al-Brega and Ras Lanuf.

The Libyan high council for oil affairs selected 35 active international companies in field of oil and gas for participation in the fourth general announcement concerning gas exploration in 41 block at land and sea in Libya .

The selected companies include: DE France Gas, British Petroleum, ExxonMobil, Shell, Total, Eni, Gaz Brom, Lukoil, Novatek, Chevron, Pan American, Energy NLC, Sonatrak, Wintershell, Statoil.

12 licenses for gas exploration in 41 blocks in sea and land of area72,500 sq.m will be granted.
