The company is now known as FUSE Cobalt.
The big problem is that these alternative trading platforms have become very large... They allready have 1.5 times the average trading volume of the Venture exchange.
In total they account for 25% of the total volume on the Canadian exchanges... if this is heavily weigted toward the venture exchange there could be equivilant volume to the venture being traded without proper disclosure to the public.... If that isn't a recipie for failure I don't know what is.
it would be interesting to see just exactly what % of trading has occured on WEL through these exchanges.... I believe these guys are leaving themselves open to class action lawsuits on behalf of the investors in some targeted companies.... without disclosure how do investors make informed decissions on the impact of secret trading.... The Yanks are going to have a field day with this when it gets main stream.... here we go Bre-Ex again.
This has the potential to dwarf the Madoff scandle as it is broadbassed across all of our exchanges, potentially every stock on all 3 boards.
How is the short side reported???? and how is a borrow arranged.... is everything that is short on those exchanges a naked short?
How is the cross market balancing achieved?
The TSX integrety relys on this balance of stock being acurate.... how can that be maintained when the information is incomplete!
The only solution is to shut down all of these alternate platforms untill the full disclosure and the system can deseminate complete data for everyone. At this point in time the exchange itself does not even have accurate data as "Alpha " is refusing to comply... I say throw the bast--rds in jail...
The exchange has been very active recently with sting operations on individuals distributing stock fraudulantly... what's the difference with Alpha. They could be shorting millions of shares into our markets as nobody is overseeing the trading.
The shares that they sold me came from somewhere..... or did they? maybe it is simply a naked shorting platform that distributs stock into the market out of thin air!... Maybe just one trade amoungst millions of other naked shorts! Do they report the trades to the transfer agents?
How is the short report generated now?
There isn't a single positive spin on this situation.... and plenty to be worried about.
