I am not one to gripe about salaries, but if we are going to compensate someone for lost salary during a difficult time, where do you stop?

Should WEL be paying it's geologists and office staff for missed opportunities for being loyal to the company. When they say 'voluntary' that should mean 'voluntary' which in my dictionary means they did it of their own volition without thoughts of getting it back.
