It is interesting to look at the relative recovery of the Toronto and the venture markets..
The TSE has recovered 75% from its peak but the venture has only recovered 37% from its peak about 1.5 to 2 years ago.
To me this means that the venture has a long way to go from here... I'm thinking at least 1800 to 2250.... The support from the past being the resistance on this run in the market, over the next 9 months.
There will be no tax loss selling this year to speak of! Just look at the charts.... The tax loss selling of 2007 was the purging, blood letting of the jr market. The recovery was lead buy the blue chips and the financials, ( Thats where the stimulus money went) it takes time for those funds to trickel down to the venture market. This is the place that the most robust gains will be made. The cream will rise to the top. Those with the Kahunas to take the risk in the jr's will have the reward.
