i went to the mid-west mineral show back in November and talked with the wildcat geoligists. Here is what i learned:

I did manage to talk to some of the Wildcat people, but I did not see a Marum booth (wasn't looking for it).

I talked with all of the geologists, the company employs 3 of them, the senior guy is Peter Theyer, very knowledgeable fellow to be sure. The other 2 were Ryus St. Pierre and Julia Diakur. They were both young guns and very excited when i started grilling them on the mineralization on the Reed Lake property.

Ryus was the guy who did some of the work in the past summer and so he did most of the talking. At first we talked about the copper mineralizaton and some of the deposits that have been found all around the Reed Lake property.

The most interesting story is about the Cream Minerals property just to the west of Reed lake. the Cat shares the same geology, and the airborne surveys show that there is a high potential for Cu/Ni deposits that will deliver.

What Ryus was really excited about was the Palladium and Platinum deposits that are in the southern portion of the property. They have finsihed a first stage (1.9km) Magnetic and IP survey and will be doing another stage this summer. There is 4.3km in total along the transect line to explore.

The survey produced some wild results that got everyone there excited, until Ryus went up there to see if there was any surface mineralization but found out that the biggest spikes were under a swamp :)

They are also big on the Foster River project as the potential for zinc is huge, they are comparing it to a deposit found in Australia that has around 280 million tons of zinc-lead-silver. I haven't had time to look into what they found in Australia so I am not sure how to compare that, but the geologists were sure excited.

They say that geologists can't sell squat, but these guys made a believer out of me with their enthusiasm. And at these bargain basement prices, I have been able to accumulate quite a few shares. After hearing them talk, I am going to increase my position by another quarter million shares (hopefully).

This play has a long time horizon though, i am looking at 5 years to 10 years on this one. But something that Peter said made me think, he talked about VMS, to the south of Reed Lake, and some news that they aquired another property around Reed lake, and that they have plans to get this property into production within 2 years to fulfill their obligations for the option. 2 years is not a lot of time when there has been no work done on the property and the fact that this is not an easy time to come up with capital to make this happen.

VMS must be sitting on something pretty big, and they are partnering with HudBay on this one i think.

As for the Rice lake activities, they are continuing to look for gold and nickel around the Jeep property along with Cu and of course they have the Mike Power property that is adjacent to SGR (which is between and to the west of the Poundmaker which they optioned to Marum. These could prove to be lucritive for the company as well.

Thats it for now, if i remember anything else, i will post it.
