TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 29, 2008) - Victory Nickel Inc. ("Victory Nickel" or the "Company")(TSX:NI),(www.victorynickel.ca) is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors has authorized management to begin ordering long lead-time equipment for its 100%-owned Minago nickel project.

"The Board's decision is based upon the positive results we have been seeing and the significant progress being realized on the Definitive Feasibility Study to date," said Steve Harapiak, President and COO. "In order to achieve our targeted production schedule, it's important to begin placing these orders as soon as mine design requirements become clear."

As noted in the press release of May 22, 2008, the Company has commissioned Outotec (USA) Inc. of Jacksonville, FL, to complete a feasibility-level design of a frac sand processing plant for the Minago deposit. In addition, deposits are expected to be placed shortly on a variety of capital items, including a transformer, the open pit mining fleet, SAG mill, ball mill and gyratory crusher. The Definitive Feasibility Study is scheduled for completion in November, 2008.
