Victory Nickel Provides Update on Minago Nickel Project

08:53 EST Monday, February 25, 2008

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 25, 2008) - Victory Nickel Inc. ("Victory Nickel" or the "Company")(TSX:NI), (www.victorynickel.ca) today provided an update on activities at its Minago Nickel project in north-central Manitoba. The Company has received verbal notification that the Government of Manitoba will suspend Victory Nickel's Borehole Licence authorizing the drill program at Minago. The Borehole Licence apparently will be suspended because of allegations by the Norway House Cree First Nation that the Government of Manitoba did not follow the proper consultation procedures prior to issuing the Borehole Licence to Victory Nickel.

Victory Nickel has not received formal notification or explanation from the Government of Manitoba regarding the suspension of any of its permits or licences, and is seeking clarification. The Company wishes to make it very clear that it has no intention of drilling on the Minago site in the absence of the required permits, and will comply with any lawful suspension when it is formally issued.
