I am sure that we all are with you on this one - but I would question your idea of a Friday release. I have read a number of times over the years that a weak or bad-news NR comes out on a Friday...so everyone has a chance to let that go through their craw over the weekend...whereas a strong positive NR usually comes out on like a Tuesday - Thursday schedule, so that it can be traded and evaluated next day. (Of course trading halts seem to have a mind and dynamism of their own). Anyway, since reading this ages ago, i have been quietly making note of those Friday releases - and, maybe superstition maybe not...but the maxim holds water.

I want news as much as the next guy - but hasn't it been reported that the real drive for jumps in the gold market seems to focus on the days around the 15th to end of year? I am sure this may be a factor.

Anyone else with input?
