I wouldn't bet on Newmont. They can't even build a shed in Elko, maybe they're another road-kill but there are lots of companies that can sink shaft and process 2B of Au. If Newmont hasn't stepped to the plate by now all they are doing is stalling; it's time to auction off Helen.
