The Company's Eagle Gold Project in Yukon Canada hosts a National Instrument 43-101 compliant Reserve of 2.3 million ounces of gold.
Hi Solo,
Yes, I met Mike McInnis - a real square guy, with his head on his shoulders - I sure liked yakking a bit to him in Vancouver at the conference....if you get the chance, you should too, as I think that you would be impressed by both his passion for waht we are doing - and his committment to his former GTQ guys. This is why I said that he he should be there for a few of the SGV party faithful to bounce off of - because he was in what seems to have been exactly the same position that their management is in now. He moved to protect HIS believers in the best way that he could - and maybe some of the more vocal nay-sayers in SGV who are close to TO could benefit from his perspective. Anyway, for me personally, simply a treat to meet him.
Not this last YVR Conference, but the one before (a year or so ago - James will know) - I met the MIdway guys. At the time, great SP, but a tiny property (however, it doesn't have to be big...just great!). I think they were the only prop in that area that wasn't owned by AGM - but I may be incorrect in this detail. I didn't quite - couldn't quite - understand why their SP was what it was...when we were sitting there (and still are) with all the potential in the world. A mystery - but I continued to track them - and saw the fall from grace. Maybe the longer that you are involved, the harder it is to watch that bit with a stock...in my own business now, after somehow surviving the 85% new biz / first year attrition here in Canada (that was the percentile used 13-15 years ago) I can't walk down a street and see For Lease signs without thinking about the people who just left...and likely lost all.
At the same time, I watch NEM mincing around - it is one thing to BE the great white hunter...and quite another to want to be. Declining resources...what was the annual? less 225K oz YOY? Hey boys, time to wake up and smell the coffee. This is why I think you may be right in your premise, Bob, to finish 14-15 at Cove...and then go off to other projects that might benefit us more. How much ARE we supposed to do before somebody has to make up their minds? Maybe a bit tired of being a bridesmaid...haha! Cheers to all,
D
