At a minimum, what this article suggest to me is that the juniors have already put in a bottom - their stock prices are already at rock bottom prices when cash rich seniors are becoming interested. Unfortunate for some juniors, they may end up getting acquired at rock bottom prices.
The real question is whether or not VIT is vulnerable to getting snatched up at today's low price. IMO, this is an unlikely event today; but it could become an issue if VIT is successful in acquiring Gateway Gold and VIT continues to identify more gold reserves over the next 12 months or so. The closer VIT gets to a stage where feasibility studies are commissioned, the greater risk of a takeover; however, we are not at that point now, and by the time we are, VIT's stock, IMO will be considerably than it is now.
