The Company's Eagle Gold Project in Yukon Canada hosts a National Instrument 43-101 compliant Reserve of 2.3 million ounces of gold.
Humble,
"Moots, I didn't say that VIT should reveal its blackout protocol. In fact I believe they should not. I have confidence in management, believe they're doing this right.
Especially in M & A the situation can be delicate. What's chatter, what's conversation, what's real negotiation ... at what point does the blackout get imposed. I guess that's why the securities commissions never spelled any rules out but left it up to the companies, huh?"
Thanks Humble - the fact that CDN Securities Commission (now IIROC) are so inadequately supported by our govt. that even if they did lay down the law they would regrettably have to be the first to acknowledge that they can't enforce it (and if you think I'm kidding, think back and remember the Immigration fiasco some years ago, where passports were being sold through Hong Kong (via corrupt CDN reps) - as that blew up, the government came out publicly and stated that they simply did not have the capacity to do deep investigatative research on any prospective immigrant. At that time the only government department hiring in Canada was Revenue Canada - so, it was reassuring to know that while we couldn't investigate outsiders, we can sure kick the be-jesus out of our own!)
So, given this - if US SEC won't and CDN SEC can't...then you had better hope that the companies will! So,as I said before - good for the boys to have a plan towards transparency...one could see it as refreshing, given alternatives!
