Thank you for the info.
A year ago at the Vancouver Gold show, I was talking to Mr Wolfin, the president of Coral Gold about the Cortez Trend and I was also trying to weigh the credibility of Raul Madrid, who I had met at the 2006 VIT AGM and had outed as the main guy behind VIT.
Wolfin related that in the 80’s, Roberts and Madrid had done a lot of work in the area south of Pipeline and had advised Coral to stake all the land there. But somehow, maybe gold price was low or whatever, my understanding is that Coral did not stake everything and missed out on Cortez Hills.
You may remember Coral Gold was one of the four companies to be taken over by USA Gold a year ago along with White Knight, Nevada Pacific, et al. But Coral Gold had some baggage and McEwen dropped his bid for Coral Gold on a Friday afternoon.
Bottom line: Madrid has the creds and probably the gold. McEwen’s got the 3 companies into his fold, yet where’s the gold? Coral is just another company in the area.
