VENA RESOURCES APPOINTS CELFIN CAPITAL S.A. SAB AS ITS SPONSOR IN LIMA
Celfin Capital SA SAB (Celfin SAB Peru), part of Celfin Capital Investment Bank, has been appointed as Vena Resources Inc.'s new sponsor for the Lima Stock Exchange (BVL). Celfin Capital is a South American investment bank with a regional platform specializing in sales and trading and capital markets. Celfin SAB Peru commenced operations in 2008 and now ranks sixth by volume traded among 24 Peruvian brokers with a 7-per-cent market share in the Peruvian market. Founded in 1988, Celfin Capital is one of the largest investment banks in South America with 470 employees in Chile, Colombia and Peru, $14-billion (U.S.) in assets under management and more than $10-billion (U.S.) in transactions over the past 10 years.
As the company's sponsor, Celfin SAB Peru will support Vena's common shares on the Lima Stock Exchange by providing all services required by the BVL in compliance with the BVL and Conasev regulatory bodies. Celfin SAB Peru and Celfin Capital will provide Vena with financial- and market-related advice and may provide assistance with future capital raising in South America.
Celfin SAB Peru's general manager, Mario Persivale, and Celfin Capital's corporate finance director for Peru, Jessica Sanchez, will work closely with Juan Vegarra, chief executive officer of Vena Resources, to promote the strength of Vena as a junior exploration and development company. Mr. Persivale has more than 18 years of experience in global capital markets and has held senior positions in the Peruvian financial market. He holds a business administration degree from Peperdine University in California and prior to joining Celfin, Mr. Persivale worked as portfolio manager at Interfunds in San Francisco, Calif. Mrs. Sanchez has more than 10 years of corporate finance work experience and holds a bachelor degree in economics from Universidad del Pacifico and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She previously worked at Proinversion, UBS, Citigroup, Bank of America and ING Barings.
"We are proud to be the sponsor of Vena Resources in Peru," commented Mr. Persivale. "Vena is pleased to have Celfin SAB Peru as our sponsor -- its strength in Chile, Colombia and Peru will enhance Vena's exposure to the investment community in South America as markets integrate in 2011," said Mr. Vegarra, chairman and CEO of Vena.
Price is moving nicely, knocking on sixties door now. I took some profits today as I believe we will bounce off 60 and down to early/mid 50s here but I have to admit that for the long term, this chart is looking very good.
Still holding a good chunk of shares of this one for the long haul and will rebuy my traders if they hit my target.
