Valdor Technology International Inc. has begun the second-phase design of a tension-and-vibration-resistant, hermetically sealed, humidity-proof, fibre optic connector/enclosure system for Lockheed Martin Corp. This state-of-the-art connector/enclosure system is proposed for use in one or more of Lockheed's aircraft fleets, and is the next phase of the Valdor/Lockheed project that was announced by Valdor on Jan. 12, 2010. Lockheed has initially requested 25 systems for testing purposes. These connector/enclosure systems incorporate Valdor's miniature field-installable Impact Mount SP splice. They are scheduled to immediately undergo lab testing and, following positive results, Lockheed will then begin flight testing. Upon approval, the Valdor components will receive military specification numbers. Valdor has been assigned a vendor number by Lockheed.
