Today’s release (below) features three important elements.

First, HudBay is drilling at Reed Lake. Their 7,000 metre program has begun and we all look forward to results being available this fall.

Second, Sails Lake will be ready to drill in mid October. We will provide much more detail on what our geologists are targeting ahead of the program.

And, third, we have doubled the size of our Morton Lake land package and it has moved up to a winter 2011 drill property. The rationale for both is outlined in the release.

After a very long wait, I can now say that for the foreseeable future HudBay and VMS will both be drilling VMS properties in Manitoba. It is going to be an exciting time as HudBay defines Reed Lake and prepares it for production and VMS returns to aggressively searching for Manitoba’s next orebody.

And, for Toronto area followers, we have committed to attend the Cambridge conference at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on September 25 and 26. We will be meeting with brokers and analysts following the conference as we begin a busy six months of telling the VMS story to the investment community.
