VMS COMMENCES FIRST DRILL PROGRAM AT ITS 100% OWNED COPPER PROJECT, SNOW LAKE, MANITOBA

VMS Ventures Inc.'s plans for drilling base and precious metal targets on its 100-per-cent-owned Copper project are now complete, and that drilling will commence this week. This program will target five areas in the northernmost portion of the property, where exploration is at its most advanced stage with all geophysical and geochemical surveys completed. It is designed to test pronounced geophysical and geochemical signatures on targets that have not been previously drilled.

The Copper Project is located approximately 20 km southeast of the mining community of Snow Lake where HudBay Minerals operates a mill and concentrator and where the development and exploration of the Lalor Lake zinc-copper-gold-silver deposit is ongoing. Access to the northern end of the property is via paved highway. The Company's Reed Lake discovery is located approximately 45 km by paved highway to the west of the Copper Project claims.

Exploration by VMS Ventures commenced in 2007 with a VTEM airborne survey which detected over 800 geophysical conductive anomalies within the northern 12 km of this very large property. The Copper Project extends over 30 km in length and covers an area of approximately 350 square km. The VTEM survey collected data on the magnetic and conductive geophysical characteristics of the underlying greenstone belt. In 2008, the Company extended airborne survey coverage to the rest of the property and executed geochemical surveys in 2008 and 2009.

Vice President of Exploration and Technical Services, Dr. Mark Fedikow states: "We have been anxious to get drilling underway at the very large Copper Project. It is all ground underlain by the highly prospective Flin Flon-Snow Lake greenstone belt. Within this particular area the belt hosts four non-producing copper-zinc massive sulphide-type deposits, thereby demonstrating the presence of hydrothermal mineralizing systems. Our geophysical and geochemical surveys integrated with historic drill information have delineated numerous high quality targets, which we can now begin to assess with drilling."

Drill Program Details

The program will assess five previously untested anomalies. All targets in this program are within 2 km of a paved highway. Due to wet ground conditions the drill sites will be accessed by helicopter. A minimum of 1,500 metres of drilling is planned (see image below).

Target 1 is located 1.2 km south of provincial highway # 39. It is a long formational anomaly with isolated stronger conductance, along with flanking style magnetic features and soil geochemistry anomalies elevated in zinc, and is directly coincident with the strongest electromagnetic anomaly.

Target 2 is located 1.7 km south of provincial highway # 39. It is a long formational anomaly with isolated stronger conductance, along with flanking style magnetic features and soil geochemistry anomalies elevated in copper, and is directly coincident with the strongest electromagnetic anomaly.

Target 3 is located 2.8 km south of provincial highway # 39. A long formational anomaly with discrete breaks is evident. An area of highest conductance, along with a flanking style magnetic feature is targeted. Soil geochemistry is elevated in copper and is directly related to the electromagnetic anomaly.

Target 4 is located 2.4 km south of provincial highway # 39. A long formational anomaly with discrete breaks is evident. An area of highest conductance along with flanking style magnetic feature is targeted. Soil geochemistry is elevated in copper and is directly coincident with the strongest electromagnetic anomaly.

Target 5 is located 400 m west of provincial highway # 39. This discrete, moderately conductive anomaly is directly associated with a strong magnetic anomaly. Soil geochemistry is elevated in copper and is coincident with this target. The target is located 1km south of the Copper-Man deposit.
