The International Speculator in its Nov. 5, 2008, issue, says hold VMS Ventures Inc. (28.5 cents). The newsletter said buy on March 3, 2008, at 86 cents, and again on Oct. 3, 2008, at 43 cents. An investment of $1,000 for each of the two buys is worth just about half the original outlay, $984. The Speculator's writer checks the press releases and figures VMS keeps delivering excellent assays from the Reed Lake project at Snow Lake, Man. He says the play looks better than ever, and the shares are on sale almost as cheap as before the discovery. He is even tempted to call this cashed-up company a "Best buy." However, as a pure base metal play, he cannot advise buying more. He likes the project and thinks it has probably has what it takes to become a mine. Subscribers should watch the story develop "before the shares take off again." Elsewhere in the Speculator, the writer expresses disappointment the price of gold has not taken off -- given the onset of the financial collapse predicted in the newsletter. He says do not confuse "has not" with "will not," adding, "The lift-off of a Saturn V rocket starts slowly, but once one gets underway, it becomes an unstoppable force that takes its payload to the moon."
