"Apple shipped 41 million iPhones during the quarter resulting in sales of $24.8 billion. IPhone units declined 19 percent sequentially but grew 2 percent year-over-year. Revenue from iPhone was down 25 percent sequentially but increased by 3 percent compared to the previous quarter.
"One decade after initial iPhone launch, we have now surpassed 1.2 billion cumulative iPhones sold," Cook said.
Apple's iPad business enjoyed a renaissance based on the performance of new models. The company said it shipped 11.4 million iPads during the quarter, up 28 percent sequentially and 15 percent year-over-year. IPad revenue was $5 billion, up 28 percent sequentially and 2 percent year-over-over."
