Asian manufacturers have developed such a complete dominance in the area of conventional electronic displays that they are poised to dominate flexible displays with mainstream commercial applications in products such as smartphones, TVs, and e-readers.28 To date, a number of innovative U.S. companies developing new flexible electronics technologies have chosen to manufacture their designs in Asia or have been acquired outright by Asian firms.''
