I have been following the short % on Shortsqueeze.com since the first of the year. I do not have an account so I do not get up to the minute updates--just when they feel like updating the free site. That said, the percentage of shares short around the first of the year was 60. It slowly went down to 57,54,49, 48 and this was around April 1 when the naked shorting rules changed. Since then it has been 47, 46, 41,41, and most recently 35. It appears that some of the naked shorts sold leading up to the rule change. Since Apr. 1 it went down from 47 to 41 and then took a good drop to 35 on the recent news. So some have covered and some are still holding out. On strictly a percentage basis, a bit less than half have covered since the first of the year.
