Kodak to lay off 35 employees

Created: 02/20/2014 11:13 AM WHEC.com

News10NBC has learned that Kodak will be laying off 35 employees in film making at Eastman Business Park. We are told these employees were notified as part of a previously announced job reduction.

Corporate Communications Manager Christopher Veronda said, “While we have continued to make such adjustments, it's also the case that there has been and will be hiring in businesses that are growing. This hiring has not been enough to offset the adjustments, but it is tied to growth businesses around which we are building the New Kodak. These businesses include functional printing, around which there are separate projects with Kingsbury and Unipixel at Eastman Business Park.”

The company says it has to make workforce adjustments to respond to changing business conditions.
